The Company was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 1965 on 28 February 1978 as a private limited company under the name of C.I. Holdings Sdn Bhd. It was subsequently converted to a public company on 10 December 1982 and assumed its present name. The Company was listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 18 February 1983.

The Group’s principal activities are focused on branded products. C.I. Holdings Berhad’s subsidiary companies are currently involved in:

i) Manufacturing and packing of all types of edible oils; and
ii) Manufacturing and trading of water taps and other plumbing accessories.

Edible Oil Products Division

- Continental Resources Sdn Bhd (“CRSB”)

 
 


 

CRSB was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 1965 on 1 September 1988. CRSB was acquired by C.I. Holdings Berhad on 28 April 2014.

CRSB commenced its operations in March 1990. Currently the principal activities of CRSB are buying, selling, manufacturing and packing of all types of edible oils which can be further broken down into the following:

• blending and packing of vegetable-based edible oils under its house brands and/or brands carried by its customers; and

• contract blending and packing of vegetable-based edible oils for edible oil producers under the brands carried by these producers.

CRSB’s range of vegetable-based oils comprise of palm-based products such as RBD Palm Olein, RBD Palm Oil and vegetable ghee as well as other vegetable-based oils such as RBD soybean oil, RBD canola oil, RBD sunflower oil, RBD corn oil and RBD coconut oil.

CRSB largely blends and packs edible oils under the brands carried by its customers for both domestic and export (directly and via its customers) markets. A small volume of CRSB’s edible oils are marketed under its house brands : 333 Chillies, Shasa, A’Qil and Cheri~Mas.

Palmtop was incorporated in 1993 in Malaysia and since 2008, established itself as one of the leading manufacturers for edible oils in the Industry. On 15 May 2015, Palmtop had become a subsidiary of Continental Resources Sdn Bhd, effectively becoming a subsidiary of C.I. Holdings Berhad.

Palmtop has 2 manufacturing plants located strategically in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. Palmtop, through its Singapore marketing arm, Continental Palm Pte Ltd, provides integrated support in terms of market intelligence and distribution.

To date, Palmtop is growing exponentially with the products distribution covering more than 50 countries, while continuously working to extend their presence to more areas and target audiences all over the world. Currently, Palmtop major exports markets are to African and Middle East countries. Based on their tagline “Every Drop Matters”, their success in the edible oils and fats industry is driven by their commitment to ensure that high quality products are being offered with competitive pricing.

Tapware Division

Doe was formerly known as Dorf Malaysia Sdn Bhd was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 1965 on 22 December 1977 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Dorf Industries Pte Ltd, Australia. In 1983, Doe was acquired by C.I. Holdings Berhad.

Doe has been in the tapware industry for more than 25 years and is currently the leading manufacturer of chrome-plated brass tapwares and sanitary fitting in Malaysia. Doe also operates a gravity die-casting foundery producing brass die-castings which are then surfaced-finished in chrome by its automatic electroplating line.

Doe offers a variety of brands catering to various segments of the Malaysian tap ware and sanitary fittings industry including: Ignite, Huber, Prima, Q’Tee, Colonial, Aria, Palesa, Suva, Viva, Doe Basics, Neu, Medlab, Estivo, Cheffline, Serengetti, Ariston

SANITARY WARE DIVISION

The division comprise of 2 companies:-

 

The division is primarily focused on the manufacturing, distribution and marketing of vitreous china sanitary ware. Potex caters to the various segments of the sanitary ware market by offering vitreous china sanitary ware under the Potex and Caravaggio brands.
The division comprises of two companies:-

1. Potex Industries Sdn Bhd (“Potex Industries”) - the manufacturing arm; and
2. Elegant Flow Sdn Bhd (“Elegant Flow”), formerly known as Potex Sdn Bhd – the marketing arm.

Potex Industries was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 1965 on 26 April 1994 and changed to its present name on 18 March 2008. The production plant is located at Masjid Tanah, Melaka. Elegant Flow Sdn Bhd, the marketing arm, was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 1965 on 21 November 2002 and changed to its present name on 6 January 2012.

On 4 February 2008, both companies became subsidiaries of Doe Industries Sdn Bhd (36788-T).

At present, the Division has a full complement of services that include research and development, manufacturing and technical support for a wide range of sanitary ware products.

As a mark of high quality, Potex Industries has been accredited with ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System since November 2003 and the Division’s products have been granted Certification Mark by IKRAM for complying with MS147:2001, MS1522:2007 and MS 795:2002. Potex’s products have also received Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN) and the Sarawak State Water Board approvals, and are also listed in IKRAM (“Senarai Bahan-Bahan Tempatan”) as in accordance to the Public Work Department (“JKR”) basic requirements.

Potex’s vitreous china sanitary ware range complements Doe’s range of tapware and sanitary fittings.
